Alright finally I am going to update my blog I dont have to many pictures though as I have forgotten my camera when I have gone places. So for anyone that doesnt know Dan and I are expecting our 3rd baby! we are very excited to have a new baby around the house again, I am 15 weeks pregnant and still quite sick although I do have some good days :) At the end of november we have our ultrasound and are excited to see if it will be a boy or girl.

Landon started kindergarten this september and is enjoying it very much! He goes everyday but half days. It is also his birthday today the big 5! He had his party on saturday at the bowling ally and had alot of fun, hopefully I can get pics up soon of his party. Maddie is 3 1/2 and I have put her in dance and she is loving it so far! She misses Landon when he is at school but I also think she enjoys the time with me and having no one bug her.

This year was the Shipley family reunion! It was alot of fun we went to the outdoor pool and slides in raymond and the kids had a blast, we also went to wateron as well which is always nice. It was nice seeing everyone that we dont get to see very often and having the kids play together.

My Sister in law Suzanne and her husband Kirk just had there 2nd boy a few weeks ago and he is just so cute..... well in Suzanne's words just PERFECT! He was born early and wasn't even 6 pounds he's just so little (I'm a little jealous as I have huge babies). They came over a little while ago to visit so we just couldn't resist snapping a few pictures!

Maddie is 3 years old she is 30 pounds she is also tall for her age. Maddie is the ultimate girl she loves having tea parties, changing her clothes multiple times a day, playing with baby dolls and bossing people around. Maddie is independent and does things on her own time, she is also very sweet and kind and loves to be around mom. Maddie is in plunge and play every Wednesday with Landon and her cousin.

Landon is now 4 1/2 Years old he is such a sweet boy he loves to tell us he loves us and always likes to cuddle! He started soccer and totally loves it and also is in a plunge and play class every Wednesday. Landon is into wrestling, riding is bike, playing with friends, playing on the computer, eating all day long! He is starting kindergarten in September I can't believe it it just seems like he was a baby. I love him soooo much.

Dan and I celebrated our 6th anniversary on saturday! We decided to go to calgary friday morning and hang out there the kids love going there and seeing Nana and Papa. On saturday Dan helped my dad out in the garage for a bit then my parents watched our kids and we got together with some friends and went and played laser tag which was alot of fun we haven't gone in years and it was a blast! We then went to dinner at the cattle baron which was excellent then went for a walk in fishcreek park and caught a late movie. We had a fun filled weekend and can't wait for our next anniversary!

My garden!!

So this past week Dan and I wanted to put a garden in our yard so he built be a garden box that looks pretty awesome! And I went out with my sister inlaw and she helped me get the things I needed to get as I have not garden ever before so I need all the help I can get! So for our very first garden we planted 2 rows of carrots, 1 row of yellow beans, 2 rows of lettuce, 1 row of spinch, 2 rows of red onion and a bunch on tomato plants. Dan also went out today and bought the kids a trampoline, we were busy today setting that up and the kids love it!

My sister in law had a baby boy so I thought that I would make her a rag quilt, it's the first time I have tried anything like this. I looked on youtube on how to make it and just followed step by step it was actually pretty easy once you got the hang of it, it just took lot of time but well worth it. Next time I will try to do it with just flannel rather then the Minky.

So it's not maddie's birthday till march 2nd but we just had a party for her so I thought I would post some pics. I decided that I wanted to do a low key birthday party so we had my sister over with her 2 kids and my sister inlaw with her 2 kids and a friend of mine with her boyfriend. It was nice and relaxing and the kids had a good time playing together.

So on Monday Dan had the day off so we thought we would do a little shopping and go visit some family and to go get Maddie's ears pierced, she is almost 3 in a couple weeks and I got mine done when I was 3. We went to south gate mall and went to Clarie's (because I didn't know where else to go) she picked out the earrings she wanted and was super excited! Until they actually did the piercing she was not happy she cried and screamed and plus it didn't help that they had to do it one at a time instead of doing it at the same time. It took her a couple minutes to settle down and some ice cream afterward and she was fine, she loves them now except when its time to clean them lol. Anyway I think she looks so cute with them.

1. I change my hair color quite often I go between dark and blonde I am never satisfied with it. But I can't cut it shorter then my chin.... I just cant.

2. I am extremely afraid of snakes! I can't even go into the reptile section of a pet store because there is a chance that I might accidentally see one.

3. I hate going outside after in rains because i also do not like worms to me they are just a smaller version of a snake.

4. I love reality TV shows it doesn't really matter which ones I kinda find them all entertaining, my husband hates this about me. lol

5. I wish I could full fill my traveling bucket list right away. Hawaii, Fiji, Greece etc. Really anything with a beach.

6. I love listening to music and doing nothing else, just Turing on some of my favs and just listening.

7. I love my kids and husband more then anything in the world.

8. Really really wants to take my kids to Disneyland because yes they would love it but I really really want to go on the rides!

9. I love to read.

10. I love my mini van and I know there is alot of people out there that are totally against them but I really like mine there is just so much room for everything!

11. I really like to cook and experiment with different foods.

12. I like my in laws I think I am quite lucky to have them as family.

13. It's really hard to think of 15 things.

14. I wish I was more crafty I love making things and sewing I just don't think that I am very good at it.

I am very excited about the fabric I have to make baby blankets, burp clothes, bibs etc. I am mostly excited about the price that I got it for! Minky here in Canada is so expensive so I never buy it so I was very excited when my mom got me some when she was in arizona.

Christmas this year was a little different instead of packing everything up and heading to calgary to my parents or going to Barrhead to Dans parents we decided to have christmas at our house. It was awesome having my mom and dad, my brother David and his wife Stacie and there new little baby come from utah, my sister Amy and her husband Brady, Cindy and Ryan and there 2 kids live in edmonton but came to my house christmas morning to do presents. Christmas eve we did a fondue and finished wrapping presents and watched a movie and on christmas day had a big breakfast and then we also did our big turkey dinner that night too, we rented out the church so the kids could run and also play a little basketball my brother richard and Ginamarie and there kids came out for the dinner as well, It is so nice when the cousins can get together and play. We also took the kids out sledding for the first time and they loved it!

p.s sorry about doing so many blog posts i am trying to figure this blogging thing out so bare with me. :)

Ahh Honduras our most favorite place we loved it here and would go back in a second! We did an exursion where we got to go to a private island to a private beach and snorkel best snorkeling ever the water was so clear and amazing fish. We had a buffet lunch and they had a mini zoo of different kind of animals. Sadly this was a short day as we had to be back at the boat by 2pm :(

I was quite excited to go to Belize it sounds so exotic and pretty well it was not... They don't have any beaches it is pretty much all jungle and swamp, so that day was our shopping day! I got 2 coach purses ( knock offs of course) and some stuff for my parents for Christmas. I didn't take to many pics on this island.

Landon is now 4years old and its crazy to me that he is that old it seems like yesterday and he was my little baby. He had a fun birthday party the week before his actual birthday and had alot of friends come and got very spoiled! Today was Landon's first day of preschool! He goes 2 times a week and he goes with his cousin Aaliyah. Maddie gets pretty upset that she can't go in with them but only 6 more months before she is able to go into classes too.

This year we went to the cabin for our summer holidays we invited dans brother his wife and 3 kids to come, it was such a fun week! We got there and we went to the lake on monday and did tube wars, knee boarding, wake boarding and playing on the wave runners. The tuesday we went to the top of the mountain and the 3 guys did the zip lines etc. Wensday was raining so the guys went golfing in the morning and the girls got to go shopping for the day, so nice to go to target and a few others stores and get some cheap clothes. we also went to big sky waterslides one day which was really fun, I haven't been there for years so it was nice to go back with the kids and do all the slides.

For canada day there was a lot to do we first got up and went to a pancake breakfast at 9am then cindy and ryan and the kids decided to come out and enjoy the rest of the day with us. At 11am we went to the parade which was really quite good the kids loved it because they would throw candy out, so they were busy grabbing that. After that we came back home and packed the kids up at walked over to where they had kids things going on, the farmers market, food, poney rides etc. Later that night for the fireworks Dan and I and a couple of friends of ours decided to climb on our roof and watch the fireworks! It was an awesome day.

So dan totally spoiled me for our anniversery and for my birthday, he bought me a canon rebel! So excited. I had a one on one class with a photographer who was awesome at explaning all the functions my camera has and what it can do. So Dan and I have been working on developing our basement we have done quite a bit but still have a bit to go. Dan did the framing with help from a friend and then we fired someone to do our drywall. I got to paint the whole thing with the help from my sister inlaw. We still need to do finishing work and the celing. The pictures are what it looks like now.

This easter I was in calgary with the kids for 2 weeks. My sister amy was getting married on arpil 10th so i came early to help out my mom and do the bridal shower. So I went and saw the movie Julie & Julia and i really really enjoyed it! I love to cook and try out new reciepes, so this movie has given me the nudge to cook more at home try new reciepes and have people over for dinner more often. That is my new years resolution. So this year for christmas was our turn to go to my parents house. We got to calgary the morning of the 23rd and that evening we had the church rented out so we could all go and eat and have the kids run and play and for the adults to play games. Santa came later on and brought all the kids presents and treat bags, the kids were very excited to see santa! Both of my kids did cry at all when they sat on his lap. The 24th was our big turkey dinner it was really good, we had most of the family there this year except for cindy and ry and richard and Ginamarie. The 25th was a relaxing day of opening presents and lounging around and watching new movies that we had all gotten. The 26th was shopping, getting hair done and going out to smugglers which was davids pick he loves that restaurant, it was all pretty relaxing until we found out that my dad was in the hospital he had a galstones attack. I don't know what it is and my family with having people be in the hospital or funerals at christmas time. Anyway Dad was ok and back home in no time. The 27th we had our yummy fondue dinner! mmmm I love fondue's! We headed home on the 28th so dan could go to work for the 2 days during that week.

We had a party for landon the weekend after his birthday, we had family and a few friends come over and have food and cake. I tried a new thing it is the pictures of the little hamburgers they are cupcakes cut in half with brownie in the middle and with icing to look like mustard, ketchup and lettuce i think they turned out pretty good for the first time making them, and they are so yummy! I lost my camera so I didnt get any pics of halloween and the kids all dressed up :( so these are just a few pictures from the party.

Our last night in mexico there was a soccer game playing in Cancun so Dan and I and Sandra and Mike and David and Val checked out and headed to the game, it was an awesome experience to go to a game in cancun. The game ended at 11pm so we headed to the airport and our flight wasn't until 7am so all 6 of us laid on the marble floor to catch some sleep until we could check in at 4:30am.

This excursion is by far the best and the most fun I have done! This one is called xplor and you have 4 things you do all day there is a boat thing u go into and you paddle in the underground rivers the second one is ziplineing there were 16 ziplines there were 2 water landing ones and a waterslide! then you go into ATV's and drive around looking at cool stuff and going through caves and the other one is swimming in the underground caves really cool!

One of the excursions we did was we all went and did a tour of the tulum, dans brother Todd set up with a person called Heleman tours its an LDS tour of tulum which was really cool we also went snorkling in the ocean and lunch and then went to swim in cenotes they are underground caves that you can swim in! That was by far my favorite part of the day.

This year everyone in dans family decided that we all wanted to go on a family vacation together, there was 14 of us that went it was so much fun, great weather, good food, great excursions etc. The pictures above are of the resort we stayed at it is called Grand Sunset Princess we would definantly go back again!

I thought I would do a post of maddie as she has turned 18 months old (in a couple days) she is finally in nursery, yeah! This was her 2nd week in and she seems to love it, I hope she still loves it when Landon moves up to sunbeams. Maddie is a sweet little girl that keeps me on my toes, she definantly has a little attitude but I wouldn't change her for anything I love watching her grow up and watching her personality blossom. I love her so much.

So I just have to write and say that I officially have a big boy now! He has been potty trained for along time now but now he is potty trained through the night, he has gone a week with wearing no pull ups and hasn't wet the bed! I am so proud of him.

Bennett Family Reunion

This year was the Bennett Family reunion we are we lucky enough to go this year. We got to stay in the dorms which were really nice as they were like townhouses with 4 bedrooms and a living room with a kitchen. When we were there we got to go into raymond which was alot of fun because they got this new outdoor pool with 2 waterslides and other things the kids loved it! It was really fun and I cant wait to go back. We also got to go to waterton as well and it is so beautiful there it was nice to just lounge around and watch the kids play in the water. It was also nice meeting alot of cousins on the bennett side that I have never meet before.

We had so much fun at the cabin this year we wish we could of stayed longer! We played at the lake and went to an outdoor waterpark. Dan and I found out there was ziplining down big mountain so we had to do that! It was so fun we recommened it to anyone, we also went on the louge which is like a bobsled but without ice and you go down the mountain on that as well. So fun! Can't wait to go next year!

So we sold our house! Thats our big news, it only took us about 5 days to sell it and we sold it ourselves so we don't have to pay realtor fees which is sooo nice since those can be so expensive! Tomorrow we are going out to look at quite a few houses so we are hoping we find one we love. So the people that have bought this place there possesion date is aug 15th so we have to be moved and out before then. Anyway now about the kids Landon is 2 1/2 and is now fully potty trained (except at night) and has been for awhile now. Maddie is 15months and now finally walking for the most part anyway, she has been pretty cranky as she is getting in a few more teeth. Well thats about whats new with us for right now anyway. I am going to try and keep on my blog more so stay tuned for more pics.

So this month has been pretty crazy we are wanting to sell our place so we are fixing our place up so we can have it on the market by the begining of june ( thats our goal). Also dan is working nights this month so he is sleeping during the day and gone all night which kinda sucks for him helping get things ready as he is kinda already busy himself. We have redone our flooring on the whole main level and have done the downstairs bathroom flooring and counter top. We still have alot to do but here are some pics of what's done.

I am having a good time getting to know other people and getting my own time away from the house which is very nice for me :) Anyway other then that there isnt too much new going on with me. I have started potty training Landon which has been very interesting and messy! Maddie has 7 teeth now and is getting in 3 more; she has been pretty amazing so far with getting that much teeth. Anyway I will try and post more pics soon and update more.

Today I decided to make maddie's birthday cake as we are having a little party with family tomorrow. It was my first time doing a cake with fondant, I really enjoyed it and thought it turned out really good. I will be making cupcakes tomorrow as well to go along with the cake.

We were on our way to calgary for new years and Landon hates it when the sun is in his eyes so we gave him Dans sunglasses to wear and he loved wearing them! He kept saying cool dude, it was pretty funny.

So today Landon wanted to go outside and play in the snow so we got his layers and layers of clothes on him, He loved playing in the snow! HE didnt last too long outside because it was freezing but he still loved jumping in the piles of snow.

This weekend was brunch and cookie decorating over at Dan's brothers house. Every year all the cousins get together to make christmas cookies, everyone has alot of fun!

So tonight Dan and I took the kids to SouthGate Mall to get there picture taken with Santa. Landon loved santa and just laughed and smiled at him the whole time. Maddie just started at him, we couldn't get a smile from her but at least she was looking at the camera.

We put our tree up this weekend and also our christmas decorations. Landon and Maddie love looking at the tree and trying to touch it. So far nothing has been broken :)

So tonight we went to churchhill square and looked at the christmas lights that they had up. We decided to go for a ride on the LRT as Landon has never been on one and he loves trains! It was a fun night.
